The application of dermal fillers consists of partially restoring the volumes and the facial contour by injecting biodegradable substances such as Polylactic Acid or Hyaluronic Acid. The loss of volume is one of the most important determinants on facial aging. With age the layers of the skin, the subcutaneous tissue and the bone support suffer a progressive reduction.
The indications for the application of this treatment are facial aging such as loss of facial oval, small wrinkles, lines and furrows, scars, skin flaccidity and for refilling facial defects and asymmetries.
Dermal fillers are aesthetic medical procedures that are carrying out by injecting ultrafine needles with filler products into the areas to be treated. The session usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes, although this period may vary depending on the corrections that we desire to achieve. It is usually a treatment that does not need anaesthesia, but if the patient is very sensitive to pain, a topical anaesthetic cream or local anaesthetic injection may be applied into the area where the filler is going to be applied.
